TulsaWorld’s Mark Cooper takes a look at who OSU’s toughest game will be against this fall – and gives some (guarded) optimism around the game against their biggest rival.

But perhaps there are reasons for optimism, nearly four months out. Consider Justice Hill and Jim Knowles.

Hill, a Tulsa native, seems to thrive best against his in-state rival. He has 327 yards on 46 carries — or 7.1 yards per touch — in his career against the Sooners.

And perhaps Knowles can reverse OSU’s poor fortunes on defense against OU. In five Bedlam games with Glenn Spencer as OSU’s defensive coordinator, the Sooners averaged 45.
